Every Saturday, from July 11 through Oct. 31, downtown Fargo becomes a gathering place for local farmers, food vendors, artists and small businesses through the Red River Market.

The market is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Just one mile south of North Dakota State University, the Red River Market provides students with an opportunity to spend a Saturday morning and afternoon downtown connecting with other students, local vendors and Fargo-Moorhead community members.

Located at Broadway Square, the market features more than 60 vendors throughout the three months. The market offers shoppers and locals a variety of locally made and grown products. When shopping at the market, shoppers can expect to see produce, pantry items, baked goods, handmade goods, prepared food, beverages, household products and flowers.

Produce vendors offer seasonal options for shoppers looking to purchase vegetables, fruits and herbs and other farm products. Some of the produce vendors include Dig It Produce, Family Roots Farm, Red River Garlic and Produce and Red River Microgreens.

For shoppers looking for prepared food, the market offers a variety of different cuisines. In the past, Namaste Kitchen, Nit’s Spring Rolls, Saigon Cuisine, SoulTaco, K-Dawg: Korean Korndog and Queens Quesadillas have all been vendors at the market. The wide selection has given visitors the opportunity to purchase food while walking through the market.

In addition to prepared food, baked goods and pantry products make up another portion of the market. Vendors such as Due North GF Bakery & Goods, FarDough Donuts, Humble Bread, Preheat Pastry Shop and Hannoun Sourdough offer a range of baked items. Other vendors sell products such as honey, hot sauce, lefse and other pantry staples.

The market also gives local artists and makers an opportunity to share and sell their work. Jewelry, pottery, woodworking, candles and other handmade products are available from vendors including Lady Gem Jewelry, Livin’ The Dream Pottery, Hometown Woodworking, Free Soul Candle Co. and Lost in Fargo.

When walking around the market, visitors can also expect to find household goods and floral arrangements. A few vendors, including Bark’n Biscuits, the Honey B Soap Co., Exit 44 Flowers & More and Three Chicks Gardens have appeared at markets during this 2026 season.

As the seasons change, visitors are also able to check out local businesses that are located in the downtown Fargo area. The Red River Market incorporates a community-style environment, including cooking demonstrations and community organizations on select market days. The market accepts SNAP/EBT and offers a match of up to $15 per person through its program.

For Addison Miller, a sophomore at North Dakota State University, the Red River Market provided a deeply enjoyable atmosphere. “It was a very lively atmosphere for a lot of people, including their pets. My friends and I were able to check out the market earlier this September, and we bought iced coffee, which was really yummy!”

NDSU students interested in exploring local foods, products and Fargo businesses can visit the Red River Market in person and experience the variety of vendors for themselves. More information about upcoming market dates, vendors and events can be found at redriver.market
