About The Spectrum

The Spectrum is North Dakota State University's student-run newspaper, published in Fargo, North Dakota since 1896. It is one of the oldest continuously published student newspapers in the upper Midwest and a longstanding voice for the Bison community.

Written, edited, photographed and produced entirely by NDSU students, The Spectrum covers campus news, Bison sports, student opinion and variety — from local Fargo issues to national stories that shape the university experience.

Our print edition is published every other weekduring the academic year, with daily coverage online. Every print issue is also available as a downloadable PDF in our E-Edition archive.
