Four stories tall, 100,000 square feet of space and at least 100 other adjectives can be used to describe what exactly Brewhalla is and what it sells to the average consumer. However, the 20-million-dollar building would prefer to be called “the good times factory.” A one-stop shop for your eating, drinking, shopping, meeting, wedding, convention, playing and destination needs.

This establishment has taken the playful nature of the Drekker Brewing Company and turned it from just a fun hole-in-the-wall brewery in downtown Fargo to a multi-million-dollar destination. It isn’t just a place for the 21 and over crowd, but is also a welcoming place for Generation Z, who enjoy the loud and colorful atmosphere. One of the building’s main objectives is to highlight small businesses and work with them to create the best environment possible.

The cornerstone establishment at Brewhalla has three spots where you can grab their locally renowned suds. Drekker has its location connected to Brewhalla, as well as two bars located on the first and second floors of the Brewhalla building. They’re easy to spot, as they have bright pink chairs, so if you need a beer, you won’t have to go far to find one.

They have 24 beers on tap, including IPAs, lagers, smoothie sours, stouts and hard seltzers, plus their menu rotates frequently. So you’re always getting something new from creative minds at the Drekker Brewing Company.

This is more than just your typical coffee place. Don’t believe it, here’s how they describe themselves on Brewhalla’s website: “a local craft coffee shop and roastery. We pride ourselves in creating great coffee, unique drinks and kick-ass experiences.”

Their menu includes your espressos, cold brews, cappuccinos and teas, but their calling cards are their lattes. You can get them in five different flavors, including brown sugar vanilla and peppermint creme. They also have a rotation of their sweet breads and two “brekky sammys” that are phenomenal, whether you like bacon or turkey sausage with egg and cheese. They also offer seasonal drinks so keep your eyes open for those.

Food with an attitude, that is the Unicorn Park Fine Foodery. This isn’t an average burger joint; this is an experience in culinary cuisine. The Wonka-inspired burger joint features three smashburgers: The NoDak Smash Burger, Chimi Smash Burger and the Kimchi Smash Burger.

The burger joint features other items like a lobster roll, and instead of a Royale with Cheese from the film “Pulp Fiction”, they have a Steak Royale with Cheese. Furthermore, a great burger joint wouldn’t be complete without those complimentary show-stopper items on the menu meant to complement the burger. Unicorn Park has those items with their five types of hot dogs and brats to go along with their four types of fries, chicken wings, cheese curds and wontons.

To top it all off, they have their special unicorn sauce, which you can add to most orders for some extra flavor.

The Bird Woodfire Pizza specializes in one of everyone’s favorite comfort foods, a big ol’ piece of pizza. They have four specialty pies: Full Bird, Messy Marge, Toscana Mama and the Forbidden Spicy Pig. If none of those are to your liking, you can create your own pizza. Their signature red sauce comes on all pizzas, minus the Toscana Mama.

Besides those tasty options, they have their Bird Hummus, Spring Green Salad and their take on cheese sticks with their Lil’ Cheezy sticks. Their pizzas are savory and full of flavor plus are a great complement to a Drekker creation.

There is no doubt that the sweetest thing you can get at Brewhalla is an Italian delicacy, Duchessa Gelato from the Cows and Co. Creamery. The artisan gelato is made with fresh milk straight from a family farm in Carrington, North Dakota. It’s truly a farm-to-table product, but instead it’s farm to your taste buds.

When you first walk into Brewhalla, you see the pink chairs of the bar, but if you walk a little further, you see the colorful spectacle that is Tiny Things. If a toy store were focused on miniaturized nostalgia, this is that store.

Tiny Things sells hundreds of different tiny objects for your enjoyment. Tiny treasures such as miniatures, pins, jewelry, prints and novelty items, each item curated to be stylish yet humorous. It takes business seriously, but it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Despite its small footprint, it’s definitely a go-to on your visit to Brewhalla.

In the middle of the retail space lies a pocket of greenery. The Plant Supply is all about nature’s beauty through houseplants, hanging vines and shelves of handcrafted pots that give the space both a boutique and greenhouse vibe. The shop is very open and inviting for all, designed to be approachable and inviting, whether they’re beginners or longtime plant lovers.

This open storefront is highlighted in the retail space and is quite a walk-through for plant lovers and people looking to spruce up their homes.

Perhaps the biggest store inside the fun-filled factory of Brewhalla is Unglued. The store is a blend of part-boutique, part-studio space. It is filled with shelves of locally made goods from hundreds of regional and local outlets, giving it a distinctly Fargo-rooted identity. Beyond retail, what sets it apart is its interactive energy and feel that makes it one of the more intriguing places to visit inside Brewhalla.
