TikTok recipes can be both easy and delicious.

Well, I finally caved. Like many other people my age, to fill the segments of boredom I downloaded TikTok. As you probably know, content can go viral pretty much overnight. One of the latest trends to have gone viral is “TikTok pasta.” Due to the mass amounts of people that wanted to try this recipe, it took me a while to find one of the main ingredients, Feta cheese. Oh, feta cheese, I personally have never been a fan, but I figured I would give it another try since this recipe is so popular.

This is the recipe I used to make this pasta:

1 box of your favorite pasta (I used Farfalle)
8-ounce block of feta cheese (I only used 5 ounces of crumbles since that was all I could find)
2 cups cherry tomatoes (I used a can of drained diced tomatoes because that was what I had on hand)
1 garlic clove, chopped (I only had minced garlic so I used 1 tsp)
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil
3-4 basil leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
lemon zest (I added a few drops of lemon juice since I didn’t have lemon zest)

To begin, I preheated the oven to 415. Then I added the can of tomatoes, ¼ cup of olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper to a baking dish and mixed it together. Once that was mixed together, I added crumbled feta to the center of the tomatoes and topped that with 1 tbsp of olive oil and a tsp of oregano. After the oven was preheated, I put the baking dish in the oven for 15 minutes (that was how long it took the feta to melt).

After putting the pan in the oven, I began boiling salted water for the pasta, added the whole box of pasta, and cooked until it was done. After 15 minutes I removed the baking dish and mixed the feta-tomato mixture together. Once thoroughly mixed, I added the drained pasta on top. The finishing touch was adding the chopped basil on top.

Overall, this recipe was simple and only took about 25 minutes. It looked very pretty after it was all mixed together. The flavors all blended well, and the dish was not too heavy. If you have a spare 20 minutes and want a simple dinner, I will definitely recommend this recipe.
