Events and activities that students can do on campus
Campus attractions have already hosted events on campus and more are to come. Freshman through seniors have been welcomed to NDSU campus through activities and welcome week.
North Dakota State University Campus Attractions is an on-campus organization that hosts events on campus. They organize events for students which will give students a variety of opportunities and entertainment. Students and faculty plan activities and work with student organizations to help students succeed and have fun during their college experience.
According to Campus Activities, they are “dedicated to serving the North Dakota State University community by providing educational, cultural, social and recreational programs and activities through a wide variety of resources.” They provide students with entertainment throughout the entire year and host multiple events.
Some of the events that campus attractions have put on in the past years have included, late night events, hypnotist, concerts, speakers, and free weekly movies.
Block Party
Campus attractions held a block party on Thursday August 25 at Bolly Loop. Students of all ages attended the event, which included inflatables, free food and snacks, a dunk tank and prizes. Businesses and organizations from around the community set up booths to connect with students. This annual event ended with fireworks over the Newman Outdoor Field.
Junior Abigail Faulkner attended the Block Party for the first time at NDSU. “I partook in the bounty houses,” said Faulkner.
Faulkner stated that she enjoys going to campus attraction events to make new friends.“You’re either going to meet someone and find someone you can hang out with or you’re going to go with someone and deepen the relationship you already have,” said Faulkner.
Clubs
Otherways to get involved on campus can be found in the Campus Activities Office. Campus Activities. According to the Campus Activities website, they help NDSU by “engaging and empowering student potential so as to foster personal leadership development, diversity appreciation and positive social and personal growth.”
Campus activities work with groups, organizations and clubs on campus. There are over 250 organizations at NDSU that students are able to join. These organizations can help prepare students for a future career. Clubs are also a great place for students to meet people with similar interests and have fun. Anime Club, Bison Robotics, Cru and Black Student Association are just a few of the clubs that are on campus.
