Size doesn’t matter

Stop shaming men for having a small penis

The statement often is thrown around as a joke, “It’s not the size that matters, it’s what you do with it,” is actually one-hundred percent true. The size of a guy’s penis does not matter at all, and there are a lot of testimonies and studies to back this claim up.

Our culture’s fixation on penis size stems mainly from toxic masculinity. The belief that a male’s manhood is tied in part to his penis size causes a lot of mental strife and confidence issues in males with penises on the smaller side. These males often believe they will never measure up (no pun intended) or be considered manly. An unfortunate consequence of this belief is the tendency to overcompensate.

The reality of the matter is penis size does not affect sexual pleasure, and most females will vouch for that. The vaginal opening is not the only thing that needs to be sexually stimulated in order for ‘good sex’ to be achieved. In fact, if that’s all you’re focusing on, then you’re having bad sex. Meaning, as long as you understand female autonomy and have a good idea of your partner’s needs, you could have a one-inch penis and it would not matter.

The average penis size is 3.5 inches when flaccid and 5.1 inches when erect. According to Healthline, in a study done by BJU International that had a sample size of more than 15,000 men, an erect penis that was 6.3 inches was in the 95th percentile. So out of every 100 participants, only 5 had an erect penis bigger than 6.3 inches. This scientific data about the actual size of penises conflicts with the perceived image the media gives us. Men are often depicted with monster penises, and realistically the number of males walking around with 8-inch flaccid penises is a lot smaller than the ones walking around with 2 or 3-inch flaccid penises.

So, before you shame someone for having a ‘small’ penis remember that size doesn’t matter and their dick is more than likely average or above average anyways.
