Men’s Rugby Club –
The NDSU Men’s Rugby Club or the “Lost Boys” is a club all about fun and physical activity. We travel and play teams such as South Dakota State University, the University of North Dakota, the University of Minnesota – Duluth, Winona State University, Minnesota State University – Mankato and more. It is a great way to meet new people and make friends while staying active and fit. It also opens you up to a new sport that is a ton of fun. I personally have made a lot of great friends because of this club, and I really enjoy playing rugby. I, like many of the guys on the team, did not know how to play rugby when I first joined. The coaches and older players do a great job teaching the sport to new guys and supporting them throughout the season. If you are thinking about giving rugby a try we have practices Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Johnson Soccer Complex fields. We will also be playing in our annual pre-season All-Minnesota Tournament on September 10th.
Women’s Rugby Club –
The “Fighting Snappers” bring more than just good fun rugby. We give an opportunity to travel, make friends, stay fit, and of course PLAY RUGBY! Rugby provides a great sense of community and a chance to make great friends. No rugby experience is necessary as most of our girls have never played before joining the club. Our coaches and team create a great learning environment so it’s easy to learn. We practice every Monday and Thursday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Johnson Soccer Complex fields starting September 1st. All you need to bring to your first practice is tennis shoes and water. Our season starts with our pre-season tournament on September 10th. After that, we will get into our season games which are mainly against Minnesota teams. Hope to see you at practice!
