Kick back and relax with this casual survival game
Until Elon Musk and SpaceX start flinging humans across the stars to colonize planets, “Autonauts” developed by Denki will have to do.
Just having come out Oct. 17, “Autonauts” is a casual survival game about colonizing worlds and using a robot workforce to build a civilization from the raw resources at hand. Eventually, human colonists can be created to populate the world with mankind.
These “creatures” complicate things because they require oddities such as food, water and clothing. No matter, the happy robots are quick to learn how to care for these fragile beings.
As mentioned, “Autonauts” is a casual game. This means it has a carefree atmosphere with a theme of “get to it when you can.” This should allow players to play the game at their own pace with not much, if any, negatives.
“Autonauts” is a more relaxing style of survival game compared to the multitude on the market. Here are some key features which set it apart.
Playful programming
Your work bots are visual learners and require you showing them how to perform tasks. Repeat steps in front of your robots to make sure the motions take hold, then let them go.
This function is easy to learn but has an added complexity that has multiple outcomes.
Automate automation
Everything needs to be as efficient as possible, which requires an army of robots to do nearly every task. If a robot can’t quite complete a task, it can be upgraded or its settings changed.
Various ventures
There are a lot of tasks that need to be completed before humans can come out to live. Gathering resources, building, cooking, fishing, tailoring, farming, animal husbandry and so many more things for your robots to do.
According to the game’s Steam page, “The world of ‘Autonauts’ is vast with limitless opportunities to automate and colonies.”
Charming creativity
Popping with an assortment of vibrant colors combined with a low poly art style, the world of “Autonauts” creates an attractive and relaxing playscape.
“Autonauts” just came out on the Steam Store today. If you are looking for a survival game with not much pressure, “Autonauts” might be a good choice.
