‘Luigi’s Mansion 3’ is out this Halloween and Luigi is not excited

While many people will be dressing up in scary costumes to go trick or treating tonight, there is one individual who will not be. “Luigi’s Mansion 3,” has hit the Nintendo Switch on Halloween, and Luigi is certainly too excited.

Luigi and his friends have received invitations to the luxurious Last Resort Hotel and just want to have a relaxing vacation. This is not to be, however.

During the night, Luigi wakes up to find that his friends have gone missing. A ghostly force has kidnapped them and placed each into a portrait on the wall.

He must summon up the courage to go find them while battling mischievous ghosts who want to see him taken care of. Our scared, yet intrepid, green-clad hero has quite the task ahead of him.

Good thing there are a ghoulish number of new features that may give Luigi the edge… or frighten him away.

Themed floors

Each floor of the Last Resort is themed: from the puzzles and décor to the bosses. This will help keep things unique and fresh as Luigi battles ghostly apparitions.

Gooigi makes a return

Only appearing in the Nintendo 3DS remake of “Luigi’s Mansion”, Gooigi is back and ready for action.

Entirely composed of green goo (and tasting like coffee), Gooigi can complete tasks that would be impossible for Luigi to accomplish himself.

These include squeezing through tight spaces, walking through spikes and helping Luigi perform tasks he may need an extra green hand to help with. You can either switch between the two characters in single-player or let a friend be Gooigi in cooperative play.

The all-new Poltergust G-00

This new and improved version of the Poltergust gives Luigi a bit of power in terms of suction and function. Use different attacks to show those ghosts whose boss.

Pound ghosts with a good old Slam attack, break through defenses with the Suction Shot and propel groups of ghosts back with the Burst.

Puzzles to solve

As is the norm for the “Luigi’s Mansion” series, there are tons of puzzles for Luigi to solve so he can progress through the haunted Last Resort.

These include moving large objects with his new Poltergust or using Gooigi to go places normal Luigi cannot.

Battle through the Scare Scraper with up to eight friends

Via local wireless or online, combine the power of eight players to take on the Scare Scraper. Hordes of ghosts stand in the way of four Luigi’s and four Gooigi’s, each armed with the new Poltergust G-00.

The ghosts won’t stand a chance.

Ghost hunt mini-games 

Play against friends in an assortment of fun mini-games, as team Luigi or Team Gooigi. See who is the ultimate team of ghost hunters by playing games like “Find the Toads”, “Hoover up Money” and “Catch all the Ghosts.”

“Luigi’s Mansion 3” just came out for the Nintendo switch and offers a lot of content. From the story mode to the rapid mini-games, Luigi has a lot to do.

Remember, you may not think the hotel is all that spooky, but Luigi definitely thinks otherwise.
