College Cafeteria Food is Far Better Than High School

A freshman’s review of NDSU Dining

When I  started college, I mainly thought about the classes I was in and the interesting organizations. But the one other thing that students will think about is the food. Will the food just be like high school? Will it be any good? But after having college food I thought to myself, “This is way better than high school food.”

College food is not like the food in high school. College food is homemade, and way better texture than the high school cafeteria provides.

For me, the food here at NDSU has not disappointed me once in the last weeks that I have been here. My top three food choices that I’ve found tremendously delicious are mac and cheese, french toast sticks and pancakes. The mac and cheese is rich and creamy but also full of flavor, just how mac and cheese is supposed to be. The french toast sticks have a great texture and flavor that no one could imagine. Usually I don’t really like pancakes, but NDSU changed that. NDSU pancakes may taste like normal pancakes, but their texture is amazing as it gives the softness that the pancakes need.

Although this article is about food, I also have a drink that deserves an honorable mention, which is the chocolate milk. The chocolate milk has a creamy, rich flavor and a tremendous texture that I can’t even describe. The chocolate milk at NDSU is the best chocolate milk that I have had in my life.

I didn’t expect it, but the thing about college that has pleasantly surprised me the most is the food.
