‘The Outer Worlds’ is one of many releases still to come this month.

October is almost over but that does not mean that the game releases are. There are still a couple of hard-hitting titles that are sure to become classics launching before the end of October.

These are the October releases that deserve your attention and your money.

‘The Outer Worlds’

A single-player, space-faring, role-playing game from the creators of a classic RPG, “Fallout New Vegas”. This title has all the makings of the next big thing.

Obsidian is attempting to deliver us a “Fallout”- like title while the “Fallout” brand is falling apart. They are trying to fill the void of engaging single-player RPGs.

Set in the future it will have players going to different planets in an engaging story. They will meet a whole host of interesting characters and play in a world where their choices matter. This really does sound like a futuristic “Fallout” game, which is perfect.

It is set to release October 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. People who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass will get it upon release.

‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare’

A year cannot go by without a new “Call of Duty” title. However, this one feels different and a return to form for the franchise.

Going back to the fan favorite trilogy of “Modern Warfare,” this entry will see the return of many fan-favorite characters and modes, like Spec Ops. It will also see the return of the campaign mode, a feature that last year’s entry did away with.

For the first time, they are also doing away with certain platforms getting the DLC first, though that has been replaced with an entire mode going to PlayStation 4 for a year. Don’t let that deter you since they are promising an amazing and gripping story. It looks like one of the best stories that “Call of Duty” has ever delivered.

It will be launching on October 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

‘MediEvil’

The classic action-adventure hack-and-slash is finally seeing its remake released. “MediEvil” has been remade from the grave up (that’s how they phrase it).

This game promises to fill you with nostalgia and also introduce the series to a new generation. Sir Daniel Fortesque is ready to bring peace back to the kingdom once again.

Set for an October 25 release, it will be launching exclusively on PlayStation 4.

‘Luigi’s Mansion 3’

Everyone’s favorite ghostbusting Nintendo series is back. Luigi will once again be hunting ghosts in a creepy mansion– well this time it is a hotel.

The last title in the series, “Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon”, launched in 2013, so it has been a while since Nintendo fans got their ghostbusting fix. Promising new mechanics and a more open-ended format level structure than the previous titles ensure this will sure be a hit.

“Luigi’s Mansion 3” launches on October 31 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Those are the main titles still launching in October. So many hard-hitting titles and the game industry is not done with your wallet just yet.

Pick up one. Pick them all up.

They are sure to fill hours of fun.

Get ready for the November releases, and say goodbye to your money.
