Sugar cookies are a must for any holiday.

Halloween is just around the corner and thanks to Pinterest, I’ve got a list of some sweet and simple Halloween treats. College is time consuming and expensive; but Halloween treats don’t have to be. Take a look at these three festive, easy, and delicious recipes.

Give me S’more

This decadent, rich, chocolatey treat is sure to have you begging for more.

Ingredients: 

  • 3 cups of chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of peanut butter chips
  • 1 1/4 cup of heavy cream, divided 
  • 11 Halloween peeps (add more as you please)

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit 
  2. Place chocolate chips into a small bowl
  3. Microwave 3/4 cup of heavy cream until it begins to boil (between 45 seconds – 1 minute) 
  4. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips, and allow it to sit for 1 minute. Then stir until mixture is smooth and chips are melted (melt in 15 second intervals if chips aren’t melting)
  5. Repeat process with peanut butter chips and remaining 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  6. Pour melted chocolate into an 8-inch cast iron skillet, or 8×8 casserole dish, proceed to pour peanut butter over the chocolate and swirl the two together with a spoon 
  7. Arrange peeps on top of mixed chocolate and peanut butter
  8. Bake in oven for 5-7min, or until peeps are toasted 
  9. Remove and serve with graham crackers

The Perfect Pumpkin 

These fun, sweet and sugary cookies with have your mouth watering.

Ingredients: 

  • Pillsbury ready-to-bake pumpkin shape sugar cookies 
  • 1 tub of vanilla or chocolate ready-to-spread frosting 
  • Sprinkles as desired 

Instructions: 

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 
  2. Bake cookies as directions state on package 
  3. Allow cookies to cool
  4. Add 2 large tablespoons of frosting to one cookie, sandwich with another cookie 
  5. Roll edges of frosting in sprinkles 

Halloween Haunt Cake Bars

This Halloween inspired cake dessert is moist and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 pack of Halloween Oreos
  • Halloween Funfetti cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup of oil
  • 1/4 cup of milk

Directions:

  1. Spray a 9×9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, line bottom with Oreos 
  2. In an electric mixer, mix the cake mix, egg, oil and milk
  3. Press batter onto Oreos
  4. Crush 7 additional Oreos and press them into batter
  5. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 min
  6. Allow to cool and enjoy
