Remember that you get to eat the left over m&m’s

This m&m cookie recipe has been handed down and is from a cookbook from the 1950’s. My family and I gladly share it with you because, it’s honestly delightful and who doesn’t love the aroma of cookies in the oven. Afterward, you get to eat the left overs; even the extra m&m’s.

Ingredients

1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup m&m’s

Directions

Blend shortening and sugar together, beat in vanilla and eggs, Add dry ingredients (brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt), Mix well, stir in m&m’s, roll into small balls and drop onto cookies sheet, Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
