This week’s important gaming updates

Players have discovered a nice little exploit in ‘Borderlands 3’.

Every week something interesting, or not so interesting, happens in the gaming industry.

That is where this handy dandy rundown comes in.

Steam library overhaul

The long-awaited Steam game library overhaul has officially launched in open beta. Anyone who wants to experience this new library only has to go into their settings and opt-in.

The update completely changes the entire look of the games library and it can be hard to get used to. It makes it much cleaner and easier to follow than the clunky outdated user interface (UI) that we had previously.

Now instead of right-clicking and adding things to categories for sorting purposes, you can just pick games up and drag them to where you want them.

You can also create new dynamic categories that will automatically add games to them if they have certain tags, like RPG or Open World.

Each game also has a much cleaner launch page with some pretty nice graphics. The only downside is that once you click into the store, community or profile tabs you go back to the old clunky UI.

Slowly Valve has been overhauling the Steam launcher. First, it was the friends list and now the library. Maybe in ten years, they will get to the store page as well. It has been a slow process.

Goku and Iron Man can’t join the party

No matter how many people beg, characters like Goku from “Dragon Ball” and Iron Man from “The Avengers” will never be able to join “Super Smash Bros Ultimate”.

According to Masahiro Sakurai, creator and director, “Smash Ultimate” will only feature video game characters. Even though Goku and Iron Man have appeared in video games, they do not count as they are not characters made for video games.

Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams like this.

Kojima wants more stranding games

Hideo Kojima is on a mission to create a whole new genre of game with “Death Stranding”. He is calling it the strand games, but more games are required before the genre can really kick-off.

Without sequels, the genre cannot be a genre, Kojima says. That pretty much confirms that we will be getting a “Death Stranding 2” and 3 in the future.

However, no one knows what “Death Stranding” even is, yet the hype surrounding it is immense.

‘Borderlands 3’ exploit

“Borderlands 3” just launched and players have already found an exploit that allows players to take home over 200 legendary weapons an hour.

That is a lot of weapons.

Most likely the exploit will be patched quickly so if you want to take advantage of it you might want to do that sooner rather than later.

Call of Duty Cross-Platform Play

“Call of Duty Modern Warfare” will have cross-platform play but you have to opt-in and have a CoD account. You can choose what controllers you will be matched with, meaning you can set it up to only match with console players or everyone.

If you just want to play with your Xbox or PlayStation or even PC buddies then you can opt-out of this. Though what Xbox player doesn’t want to destroy some PlayStation players?

Red Dead Zombies

Just in time for Halloween players have been discovering zombies in “Red Dead Redemption 2″. This could either mean an “Undead Nightmare 2” or just a Halloween event.

This could also just be a glitch in the online mode, but it would be cool if it was actually “Undead Nightmare 2”.

We will have to wait and see.

That is about all the interesting stuff to come out of last week. Every week is different however and some more interesting than the last, so stay tuned for next week’s rundown.
