The standoff occurred at 1131 College St. N, right across from Farmhouse Fraternity.

Students received either a text message or emailed alert Monday night warning them of a “domestic situation” at 1131 College St. N. Students were told to avoid the area if possible but many turned up curious watching from campus as events unfolded.

Around 10 p.m., the police were called to a domestic that ended with authorities believing the man had taken two children hostage inside the house, according to Valley News Live.

SWAT was called in at 2 a.m. to deploy flashbangs. The two children involved were fine but the man involved was never secured and police have speculations over whether he was there during the whole ordeal.
