A car parked in an apartment garage started on fire, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
First responders were contacted 1:55 a.m. Thursday.
The garage was attached to an apartment building at 1 Second St. S.
The car was estimated to have damages of around $30,000, and the roof of the garage had damages around $10,000, reports said. The cars parked next to the car on fire were not harmed.
Sprinkler systems in the building helped contain the fire and assisted the firefighters in extinguishing the fire. The fire was under control in 15 minutes.
“This is the fourth fire this year in which a sprinkler system has helped limit losses from a fire in the city,” Fargo Fire Battalion Chief Dane Carley said.
